TWO STORKS AND THE TURTLE MORAL STORY

There were two storks and a turtle who were friends. They shared the same pond for many years. They were living happily for a long time. The storks used to bring food for the turtle and the turtle did the same for them. But, the turtle used to boast of itself. "See dear friends, you can only fly. I can dive so deep into the pond and get rare fish for you." The pond started to dry up fast as there was a severe drought.

The friends had to search for a new place to live. "Friend, we can fly off to another pond and start our new life there. What will you do?" asked the stork to the turtle. "I don't know. I cannot fly like you do. I will have to somehow manage till I die here," said the turtle with a throat full of grief. The next day, the storks flew in search of a new pond to live in and returned happily. "Friend, we have found a new pond to live in. Come with us. We shall carry you," said them to the turtle.

"How can you carry me?" asked the turtle. The storks said, "We shall hold a branch in our beaks. You can cling to the branch with your mouth. We will lift you up and fly over to the new pond," said the storks together. The turtle clung to the branch and the storks started flying.

They were about to reach the new pond. The turtle thought to boast, "See, now I am too flying... I am the greatest of all." No sooner did the turtle open its mouth, it fell from high above.

But luckily, as it fell near the pond, the sand was soft and there was no harm to the turtle. The turtle had learnt its lesson. From then on it stopped boasting.

Once, the pack of monkeys in which Pintu was a member wandered into a nearby village.  A group of lumberjacks were cutting big pieces of wood from the logs. Pintu watched with wonder at the ease with which the lumberjacks split large logs. He was observing their work. When a lumberjack had inserted a wedge to split a log, the bell rang to indicate their lunchtime. The lumberjacks set aside their work and went away for their lunch.         Pintu ran to the log with the wedge stuck deep inside. His curiosity increased. He left his hand inside the split end and tried to pull the log apart. Nothing happened. So Pintu decided to pull out the wedge and see what happened. In his anxiety, Pintu did not notice that he was sitting across the log and that his tail was wagering in the split of the log.  The moment Pintu pulled out ...

THE TIGER AND THE WOODPECKER - MORAL STORY

A woodpecker was pecking the branch of a tree when he heard a pathetic cry, "Help me, please.  Somebody help me please!" The woodpecker flew in the direction of the cry.              Soon he found a tiger, with tears filling in his eyes. "What happened?" asked the woodpecker. "A tiny piece of bone pricked my mouth. It still remains between my teeth. It is very painful," cried the tiger. "Open your mouth and I shall remove the bone," said the woodpecker. The tiger opened his mouth and the woodpecker pulled the bone out. "Thank you," said the tiger and left happily. After a few days, the woodpecker happened to meet the tiger. "Hello, tiger! How are you?" enquired the woodpecker with affection. The tiger was very happy to meet the woodpecker. They both turned into good friends and lived happily.
