THE COBRA AND THE CROW - MORAL STORY

           Acrow has laid many eggs in a nest on top of a tree. She was assured that her nest was safe from wild animals. But, her belief was in vain. A big cobra sensed the nest.              He slithered there and ate the eggs one by one. Every time the crow laid her eggs, the cobra did the same. The crow had to think of a way to get rid of the cobra. She was not strong enough to attack the cobra. She was worried about her eggs. She had to do something to safeguard her eggs at least in future. She sat with her pair and they both came up with a plan.          The next day, the crow flew to the palace. She picked the princess' necklace and with a big cawing sound fluttered away. The guards heard the crow's sound and saw her carry the necklace. They started to follow the crow wherever she flew. The crow flew to the termite hill in the forest and threw away the necklace into the mouth hole.  ...

BITTERNESS - MORAL STORY

              There was a wise king who ruled the ancient kingdom of Banaras. He was getting old and weak. Time had come for his son to take the throne, but the king was worried at the cruel and unworthy acts of the youngster.               The king pleaded with the Rajguru, "Hey learned Acharya, please teach my son good values and kindness. Reform him. He needs to be shaped to be able to take the throne." The Rajguru accepted and started teaching the prince good things. A few weeks later, Rajguru and the prince were strolling in the palace garden. The Rajguru picked up a tender leaf from a small plant and asked the prince to taste it. The prince had just put the leaf in his mouth, and spat it out and started growling with sourness in his mouth. "Rajguru, what is that leaf? THE FALCON AND THE QUAIL - MORAL STORY

        There was a big falcon. He was very powerful and strong. He could pick up very large animals in his claws and fly high and long He was a terror to smaller birds, as they became his prey if they crossed his path.           Once, a small quail happened to cross his path. The falcon looked at the quail and said, "Hey small one, I give you one chance to escape. Fly as far as you can. If you can evade me I shall spare your life" The poor quail flew as far as he could and landed on a solid rock.       No sooner had he set foot on the rock, he heard the harking sound of the falcon shrieking in his ears. "Here I come," shouted the falcon in pomp and dived straight at the quail. The quail waited till the last second and suddenly ducked away. WISDOM OF LEADERSHIP - MORAL STORY

            Once there lived a family of deer in a lush forest. There was a father deer and two sons in the family. As time passed, the father deer fell sick. He called his two sons and told them, "Dear sons, after me either of you two would become the leader. Learn the art of surviving. Don't lead the herd during daylight. Don't graze in thick forest. Graze in open lawns. Lead well." After the death of the father deer, the two sons divided the herd into two.          The two herds left the forest in search of a new living place, One deer did not take heed of the father deer's advice. Soon, many deers in the herd were either killed or died because of heat. The other deer was very careful to lead the herd according to the advice given by the father deer. The entire herd was safe and healthy.  Moral: WISDOM IS STRENGTH !!! **** **** ****

THE GAMBLER'S WISDOM - MORAL STORY

There were two gamblers, Ramu and Somu, who were addicted to playing the dice game all the time.  While Ramu was very straightforward and honest in his game, Somu had the habit of cheating and his game was full of foul play. Every time Somu thought that he was going to lose, he swallowed the dice and acted as if it was lost and said, "Sorry Ramu, the dice are missing. I think the game has come to a draw. I think I need not pay you the money." Ramu believed in the words of Somu and say, "What is wrong in this my friend? What can you do if the dice are lost? You need not pay the bet amount." One day, Ramu found out that Somu was cheating. In order to teach him a lesson, Ramu soaked the dice in mild poison and brought it to play.  As usual, when Somu found that he was going to be the loser, he swallowed the dice.
